Our Colorado Guest Ranch

As Colorado’s highest guest ranch at 9,600 feet elevation, the views are awe-inspiring. Elk Mountain Ranch overlooks the Arkansas Valley with breathtaking views of the Collegiate Peaks. Here we have the largest collection of peaks over 14,000 feet in the lower 48 states. Our quaint, local town of Buena Vista is considered the “White Water Capital of Colorado.”

Our Colorado guest ranch is a nature lover’s and photographer’s paradise; with deer, elk, antelope, and wildflowers galore. The ranch was once the Futurity Millsite and is completely surrounded by the San Isabel National Forest. Our lodge is nestled among aspen and evergreen on Little Bull Creek. A 10-mile dirt road is your gateway to adventure.

Elk Mountain Ranch is approximately 17 miles from historic Buena Vista, 120 miles southwest of Denver, and 90 miles west of Colorado Springs.

Just a few hours drive from the Denver and Colorado Springs airports, yet far enough to take in the beauty of the Colorado Rockies, our Colorado guest ranch frees your spirit to the high country where the air is clean, the skies are blue and the scenery is awe-inspiring. Colorado is all about the majestic mountains – you will not be disappointed by Elk Mountain Ranch.
